Mother’s Day Gift Guide: Small Business Edition

I am always on the hunt to find the perfect gift for the people I love, and my mom is no exception. Unfortunately, shopping for her can be difficult because she never asks for anything. I’m sure other people have the same problem, so I have put together a Mother’s Day Gift Guide just for you. These items will add little moments of beauty to the lives of women you love.
1. Pointer and Pine “Do Good Recklessly” Flag

You can find them on Instagram here.
2. Vanilla products from the Hawaiian Vanilla Company

3. Swiss Army Throw Pillow Shams from The Vintage Round Top

4. Sweet Water Decor has home decor, candles, and stationary, but I really love their mugs. I definitely don’t need more mugs but this “Rise and Shine” one is on my list!

5. The Signature Porcelain Mug from Sea Grass Pottery is made on the wheel and then carved by hand.

6. Peg & Awl has all kinds of beautiful treasures for useful living, like their waxed canvas totes.

7. Beach Lover Sea Glass Necklace from J. Richelle Jewelry reminds me so much of where I grew up on the Maine coast.

8. Beholding & Becoming by Ruth Chou Simons

9. If you want to gift an experience, Jeanne Oliver has online workshops for all different journeys and artistries. She is my favorite.
If shopping local is important to you, there are a lot of options there too: independent flower shops, local boutiques, treats from a bakery, paint your own pottery, locally ground coffee, etc.
And if none of these things seem just right, you don’t really need a Mother’s Day gift guide. Think of things you can give them that are from your own hands: flowers or herbs from your own garden, handwritten recipes, home-baked goods, art you made yourself, a personalized letter. Sometimes these things are the most special gifts.
Celebrating the people in your life is about more than running out to buy something – it’s about truly seeing who they are and how you can honor that.
